My Story
Ever since my childhood, I knew that piano would play a role in my professional life after college. At the age of three, I commenced in my piano career and not long after, I had the opportunity to perform and compete nationally and internationally.
In 2014, when I began having severe pain in my abdomen. Several tests and surgeries ensued, and about a month after my first tests, I was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma Cancer. After missing a year and a half of school for treatment and surgeries, I was finally diagnosed as cancer-free in the summer of 2015. Although the challenges were great, I acknowledge that cancer has been the most influential learning experience as it has shaped who I am and what I want to be.
It took several years to get back to where I am, and I still have some struggles from the effects of chemotherapy. But, I am so happy to be able to be studying out in Utah at BYU while also teaching lessons and classes at the university.
